Happy 2016, everyone! The end of the year seems to call for a general bookkeeping-type post. 2015 was a spectacular year of reading, so I’m quite proud of my numbers!
As my 2014 goal was 25 books (which I just barely finished), my original goal for 2015 was to read 35 books. When I hit 30 around the year’s halfway mark, I raised my 2015 reading goal to 60.
My final total for the year was 76 books, putting me 16 books past my goal. Not too shabby! And here’s the full lot, presented in a shoddy, hastily-made collage.
For 2016, I wanted to stay ambitious and go for even more books. However, I have been looking for full-time job for a few months, and I recognize my free time will wane once I am no longer working part time. In an attempt to be practical, I have decided to set my goal for 60 books in 2016. It’s a little over a book per week, and may still be a challenge if/when I change jobs.
I’ll be posting this week about the PopSugar Reading Challenge, my favorite books of 2015, and a wrap-up post for December. I’m also hoping to participate in TBR Takedown this week, so there may also be some update posts for that.
Happy reading, everyone!
